Nissan introduces Micra Kiiro special edition

Stylish supermini joins special version of Nissan Juke

Nissan has introduced a new ‘Kiiro’ special edition version of its Micra supermini, bringing with it a range of stylish new touches.

Following on from the recently revealed Juke Kiiro crossover, the same treatment has now been given to the Micra. With ‘kiiro’ being the Japanese word for yellow, the model unsurprisingly gets a range of styling elements in this colour.

The Micra Kiiro therefore comes with yellow trim on its front and rear bumpers, as well as the side sills. These are contrasted with the model’s Echo Grey body colour, while it also features gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass to make it stand out more. Textured branded stickers also appear on the C-pilllar.

The Micra Kiiro is based on the entry-level Acenta trim level, but brings a range of additional equipment, including the ‘Vision Pack’, which brings satellite navigation, automatic air conditioning, rear parking sensors and all-round electric windows.

The Micra comes as standard with a 91bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine, with prices starting from £18,375 for the manual model and £19,725 for the CVT automatic. Nissan has said just 250 examples of the Kiiro will come to the UK too.

At the same time Nissan has also announced pricing for the Juke Kiiro, which wasn’t available when it was shown a few weeks ago. Prices for this crossover, which benefits from very similar styling tweaks to the Micra, start from £24,350 for the manual and £25,850 for the automatic.
