We say The 206 estate is somewhere between estate, MPV and hatch. It doesn't succeed at any particularly well and cannot be recommended over rivals.Performance The 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrols remain as the diesel has been retired in preparation for the 207. The lower-rated engine is underpowered so the 1.6 is the only real option.Emissions All engines will deliver low running costs thanks to their small size and relatively low power.Driving The Peugeot 206 delivers a smooth ride which irons out bumps in the road well but handling suffers as a result and feels loose.Feel The engines struggle when pushed and road noise intrudes, making for a noisy ride, particularly with the petrol version.Space There is decent space for four with plenty of headroom available and split tailgate aids practicality.
