New Mini special editions: Here’s what you need to know

Mini is launching Resolute, Untold and Untamed editions of its range

Mini has more experience than most when it comes to special editions, launching a whole range of exclusive and limited-run models through the years.

From partnerships with legendary designers such as Paul Smith to celebrating legendary UK places, such as London’s Soho and Park Lane, Mini has done them all. But it’s continuing with its special editions, with three new options available – the Resolute Edition, Untold Edition and Untamed Edition.

Covering Mini’s full line-up, let’s take a look at what is available.

Resolute Edition – available on 3-Door Hatch, 5-Door Hatch, Electric and Convertible

Offered on all of Mini’s more compact models, the Resolute Edition comes painted in Mini’s Rebel Green body colour – previously only available on the brand’s sporty John Cooper Works versions. On the Hatch and Electric models, this contrasts with a Pepper White finish on the roof and door mirrors, with the Convertible having a black soft top and mirror caps.

These details contrast with ‘Resolute Bronze’ accents, such as on the headlight surrounds, radiator grille and door handles, with the car being fully dechromed. The bonnet stripes and sills of the model also feature stylish gold stripes with ‘RESOLUTE’ lettering on the bonnet.

Inside, the model gets a bespoke steering wheel and a gold striping throughout. Prices for the Resolute Edition start from £22,040.

Untold Edition – available on Clubman

Without doubt the boldest of all these new special editions is the Untold Edition, which is offered exclusively on the Clubman.

There are some very bright colours at play here, as the Clubman comes painted in Sage Green, while featuring the John Cooper Works styling kit to give it a sportier appearance. There are then some incredibly bright brass-coloured 18-inch alloy wheels, which then contrast with a darker green colour used on the lower areas and wheelarch surrounds.

On top of this, there is a five-stripe pattern on the bonnet and roof, while the side scuttles and door mirrors have a special design that has been 3D-printed.

Jump inside and the bold look continues, with the Untold Edition featuring a matching Sage Green leather interior, though black leather is available as an optional extra. The brass detailing also extends to the steering wheel and floor mats. On top of the design changes, this model also adds adaptive LED headlights, LED interior lightning and Mini Driving Modes on top of the standard car’s specification. Prices for the Mini Clubman Untold Edition start from £28,400.

Untamed Edition – available on Countryman

Rounding off the trio of special editions is the Countryman Untamed Edition, which adds extra style to this popular SUV.

Mini says this model ‘emphasises the adventurous nature of the Countryman’, and comes painted in an exclusive Momentum Grey colour, with details such as the lower air intakes and side skirts also in the same shade. New 18-inch alloy wheels are also fitted, while the Untamed comes with stripes in a colour called ‘Frozen Bluestone’.

A black styling kit is also fitted, while various patterns feature on the Untamed Edition’s bodywork, which are said to be ‘inspired by a mountain landscape’.

Inside, the Countryman gets a bold Highland Green leather interior with contrasting blue and green stitching in the sports seats, with a similar pattern from the exterior used in the cabin too.

The Mini Countryman Untamed Edition is priced from £29,750.
