While you’re in for a bumpy ride, it does handle fairly well, and steering is very responsive.Feel Engines are quite smooth but wind noise is a real nuisance – again, it’s too van-like.Space This is where the Caravelle excels; enough room for seven, comfortably, and lots of handy storage spaces – perfect for large families or campers.Equipment Alloy wheels, air conditioning and electric windows all sound great, until you remember that it costs over £30,000. Cruise control, climate control, sliding doors and heated seats all come in the next trim level which, to be fair, isn’t much of a premium over the basic.Price High list prices, high running costs and average residual values don’t make this a very appealing MPV. Can cost anywhere between £34,000 and £43,000.Quality It’s very durable and reliable, which is great for family use. Not much in the way of luxury, but you knew that already.Safety Front, side and curtain airbags, and stability and traction control come on all models.Pros Lots of space, reliable and safe.Cons Not very comfortable, expensive to buy and runAlternatives Chrysler Grand Voyager, Ford Galaxy.
