We say The Evo trades in comfort and refinement for blistering pace and superb drive. If that's what you're after you can't go far wrong.Performance The Evo’s hugely powerful 2.0 engines deliver genuine sports car performance. Up to 366bhp means a limited top speed of 155mph and a 60mphg sprint of a ridiculous four seconds. Four seconds!Emissions 20mpg and 334g/km is as good as it gets on the lowest-powered Evo IX.Driving Incredible grip and responsive steering from the Evo thanks to firm suspension, direct steering and incredible traction.Feel The Evo is noisy, but not necessarily in a bad way. It’s reasonably possible to live with day-by-day too.Space Decent space for four in the cabin, and fair size boot. Again, the Evo is fairly practical.Equipment Aircon and CD player among healthy amount of standard kit.Price The Evo IX will be expensive to run, but residuals should be excellent. It’s probably the cheapest way to supercar levels of performance too.Quality The Interior is not about luxury, but the Evo should prove sturdy.Safety Two bags and ABS are standard on the Evo IX.Pros Great engines and drive. Highly sought-after.Cons Expensive. Not the most practical car.Alternatives Subaru Impreza, Vuahxall VXR8
